Julia's 10th Birthday Party

Today was Julia's 10th birthday party with her friends.  Each girl got a mini manicure and some tinsel hair extensions.

Yummy cupcakes from Sweetworks.  And Julia made this cupcake display all by herself!!!

They entertained themselves by playing games in between getting their hair and nails done...

These girls have the most beautiful hair!  You just want to tell them to never color it until they have to...

Such beautiful and sweet girls...

Happy Birthday to my sweet girl who for some reason isn't happy about turning 10.  She says she would rather turn 9 again. Well, I know it's going to be a great year for her!!!  I love you, Julia Rose!!!

Finishing our Summer List

The summer is winding down and we are finishing up our summer list (all the things we want to do as a family before the summer is over).  We went to the PawSox Game the other night.  The tickets were FREE and the games are played literally 15 minutes from our house!  It was a gorgeous night for a game...

The next day we went to the Mystic Aquarium.  It was fantastic!!!  I honestly wasn't expecting such a great time...but it was!  It's mostly outside and we picked a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and low humidity.  Perfect!

Do you see the tiny frog?

They had this fantastic Australian bird exhibit.  They gave each of us a stick with some bird seeds and all these gorgeous colorful birds just fly up to you.  It was amazing!!  (OK...so this one wasn't colorful...but the rest were!)

The kids just loved it!

Gianna just loved the fish.  Well, she just loved it all really...but then she spotted Dori from Nemo and she was in heaven!!

She went crazy when she saw this clown fish...NEMO!!!  She drew a crowd of little ones with her antics. She was talking to it, laughing and actually thought the fish was hearing what she was saying when she was telling it to "swim up" and it did...so cute...

There was a wonderful Titanic exhibit.  I find that whole story so fascinating.  I even bought a book about it at the store exhibit.

This family all died....so so sad.

And these were some of the survivors...

Doesn't Kathy Bates look just like her?  Now I know why she was cast in that role...

I thought this woman was just beautiful...

Loved this story about the youngest survivor...

One of the kids favorite exhibits was the ray touch pool.  They stayed there for a very long time....

Last but not least was the gift shop...

Gianna fell in love with every single stuffed animal in the store.  She wanted me to take a picture of all the ones she wants for Christmas...like she doesn't have enough stuffed animals already (three overflowing laundry baskets full)...

She said she wants to work at this store someday.  She actually was cleaning up the stuffed animals, putting them away into their proper bins and organizing them on the shelves.  So funny.

They had all kinds of fun toys...

Of course we had to have dinner at THE Mystic Pizza....which is one of my all time favorite movies...

Sad to say but the pizza wasn't a "slice of heaven" for us.  Actually, we didn't like the pizza at all.  Tonight we went to Lynwoods for dinner.  Now THAT'S a slice of heaven!!!

Beluga whale...so awesome!!

I can picture Gianna working at a place like this when she's older...her love of animals combined with her fabulous personality!  Wouldn't that be a great career for her?
