I love Easter. It is a passage to Spring. I've been waiting for the day to have two little girls to dress alike. I'm sure they will hate it when they are older. That's the fun right now. I get to put them in dancing school, dress them all girlie in pink, etc. In a few years they will be telling me what they want to do and wear...as it should be.

Philadelphia Freedom
Danny and I just got home from Philadelphia. We went to a bat mitzvah which was very nice. We are Catholic and have only been to Synagogue a few other times. The service was so beautiful. I love experiencing other religions. I love how they teach these young adults about the importance of their religion and heritage. So much more than good old CCD!
We left the kids for the first time ever! Danny and I have gone away separately but never together for a weekend like this. When we left Gianna, my one-year-old, I cried all the way to the airport. I was just starting to compose myself when my sister-in-law called to tell us that Gianna hadn't cried at all and was doing great. Then I proceeded to start bawling all over again. My other two kiddies, Nicholas who is four and Julia who is three, stayed with my sister Kim and were just fine. I knew they would be. At least they can ask for what they need. I know Gianna so well that it just broke my heart to leave her.
Danny and I walked all around the city on Friday. Then on Friday night went to a place called the Victor Cafe. The food was Italian and just incredible. They have singing waitstaff who sing opera. It was so different and fun. It was a nice reminder of all the years Danny and I spent together before we had kids. We used to go out to dinner all the time. I miss that a lot. And just staying with him in a hotel all by ourselves was nice too. No kids to worry about during the night and no one running in and waking us up in the morning. Ahhhh...bliss.
It was so great seeing Berta, her mom, and Lauren again. They are such wonderful friends. I miss them so much.
However I must say it is good to be back home. I put Gianna down for a nap and got my other two to lie down with me on the couch to watch TV and snuggle. It was so nice.
