Julia's new trick!

She's been working on this for a long time and finally can do it!

Finally!!!

After years and years of waiting (4 years since her other front baby tooth fell out on its own and 2 1/2 years since she had surgery to remove her stuck baby tooth and extra tooth that were blocking the way for her adult tooth to grow in) and two oral surgeries later...look who FINALLY has two front teeth!!! It really came down fast!!!

She's so happy!! : )

Student Council

Gianna came home from school yesterday so excited!  She was picked for 6th grade Student Council! I'm so happy for her. She worked very hard on her essay questions. This was my favorite...

If you could create a school event to raise school spirit, what would it be an why?

"If I could create a school event to raise school spirit, I would have "Friendship Day".  Because all the 6th graders are new to NAMS, it would be a day where all three teams could meet and socialize with each other.  So no one feels left out, groups would  be organized ahead of time.  There would be lots of fun and games.  I know this would be a great event because some kids have trouble making friends.  This would spread kindness and help everyone get together and make new pals!"

Isn't that so sweet?  She's going to make a great leader!

And then Julia came home from school today to say she got picked for 8th grade Student Council and she was also picked for an organization called "Best Pals"!  Yay!!  

I loved one answer she gave for her essay..."I'll have the chance to give back to my community.  It would be a rewarding experience.  It's always better to be a participant in life rather than a passenger." (That's an expression her father uses all the time.) 

I love that my girls are getting involved with their school. So proud of them!

Nicholas had his school picture taken on Friday so when he got home he was showing me how he smiled for it...

Gianna was trying on winter coats and jackets and I thought she looked so pretty that I just had to take a picture...

And every day I find pictures like this of my Julia on my phone...because she knows it makes me laugh...every time...
