Scusset Beach

We had dinner at the beach last night with friends. It's my favorite time to be at the ocean...

Recital #16

Yesterday was Recital #16 for us.  Gianna did an amazing job on that stage for all three shows! So proud of her!

Yes, it was a very long day with three recitals (left the house at 9:00 a.m. and got home after 10:00 p.m.) but overall it was fine. Gone are the stressful recitals with fast frantic costume changes with two sweaty kids. Now there is only one. She is, for the most part, self sufficient and her dances were all spaced apart quite nicely. I think I can handle just one more recital.

Two Years

Yesterday marked two years without my bestie Sandy...

Her sisters, Jill, Laura and I celebrated her last night at the Red Rooster. These girls were brave drinking one of Sandy's favorite dark beers...

Not me! I had a glass of white wine! Haha!

The Red Rooster was a place Sandy really liked going to and we went there a few times together. It's just so strange that she is gone. I don't think I will ever make sense of it.

Mama

She was a die hard Led Zeppelin fan so when I saw this on display in one of my favorite stores, it brought me to tears...

Committed

So proud of The Boy! He'll be off to Louisville in August to start his next chapter...

This is me

With the exception of "calm" and "does well under pressure"...this is me : (

Youth Repertory Orchestra

My nephew, Zach, is a junior in high school and a very talented musician. After auditioning, he was selected to play bass in the Youth Repertory Orchestra at the New England Conservatory in Boston.  What an honor!  The concert was outstanding!  So much talent on that stage!

It was a great opportunity to bring my family back together again...especially with my brother after his terrible illness this past January...
