Competition Kindness

My girls had a lot of fun these past four days at Nationals.  They enjoyed being with all their friends and dancing on the big stage.  They won some awards too which is always nice.

Julia's duo was amazing and won a platinum plus which is the highest you can get!!

But Julia won the best award of all. She received a special award from the staff at Starquest called "competition kindness".  It was for being kind and supportive to all the other dancers at the competition. So proud of my girl!  No award could ever be more meaningful than that.  We are raising a wonderful daughter.

Julia was absolutely beautiful yesterday.  It was by far her best performance of Delta Dawn.  She won platinum!  We are so proud of her!

Six Flags

Julia was invited to go to Six Flags with some of her dance friends yesterday. Gianna was invited too but already had a sleepover birthday party that same day. The girls had a sleepover the night before as they left very early in the morning for the long drive there.  She had such a great time!  All pictures and videos below were sent to me and the other moms so we could share in the day with our girls.

The night started with dinner...

and swimming in the pool.  It has been super hot and humid here...

They woke up early for the long drive.  I think someone in the backseat was a little tired from the sleepover...

Once at the park, they happened to run into another dance studio family.  Small world!  Their group of six turned into eight...

They finally got to cool off at the end of the day at the waterpark...

Dinner was ice cream.  We've done that before too!!

Dear Edwina

Gianna just finished two weeks of summer camp at the Triboro Youth Theater. She loved every minute of it!! Yesterday they had two performances of her show "Dear Edwina". It was fabulous! All the kids were so funny, adorable and talented too! Gianna played the role of Susie and sang a solo. I thought she was fantastic! What wonderful memories she is making there.

Newsies

I took the girls to see Newsies yesterday.  It was a great show!  Gianna especially loved it...

We had great seats too but I think anywhere you sit in the Opera House is good...

After we went to the Cheesecake Factory for a yummy dinner and then to the Walpole Fireworks.

Of course this wasn't from last night but I thought it was cute...
