Cape Cod

We took the kids on their annual trip to the Candy Co. while on vacation last week on Cape Cod.

It's really overwhelming.  They carry every kind of candy imaginable...

This was my Nana's favorite candy.  She always had a stash...

The kids can fill up their plates...

This is the one time we don't tell them it's too much...

And they are good about not gobbling it all up in one sitting...well at least the girls are good about that.  Nicholas...not so much. : )

Then we always take them jumping on the trampolines after to help burn off some of the sugar...

We went to the beach practically every day. The weather was beautiful!

Nicholas made a friend last year from New York and he and his family were there again this year...

which was fantastic for Nicholas!  He's happiest with a friend by his side...

And my poor hubby hobbled along with his crutches.  He made the best of it...

The girls loved looking for jelly fish...

Yuck!  Yuck!  Yuck!  Just the thought of these things swimming around me makes my skin crawl.  So I just tried not to think about it...

I took the kids mini golfing while Danny stayed back at the cottage...

After we were done, we picked him up for some ice cream.

The beach again...

 My pretty girl...

Oh to be able to wear that tiny pink bikini...how lucky she is...

Daddy still entertained the kiddies from his chair...

Our beautiful view every day...

We took a break from the beach one day to take the kids to an inflatable water park...

This slide was huge!  Gianna was really nervous at first but Nicholas and Julia were persistent and got her to go down with them...

Nicholas....

Then Gianna goes...and then Julia...listen to Julia squeak!!!  So funny!

The only time we really saw the kids that day was when they decided it was time for a snack and a drink...

Danny and I just sat and read books and people watched to help pass the time...

I think this was their favorite day of our vacation...

We went to CeCe's sister's house for dinner one night.  We had a wonderful time (even though CeCe wasn't able to join us).  These were all over her yard...and the entire neighborhood....

Just gorgeous!!!

Why are my babies getting so big?  They look so grown up to me in this picture for some reason.

My babies are so beautiful...and so incredibly well behaved I must say.

I think someone ate too much...

One of Julia's best sand castles of the week...she even added a pool...

Summertime

Gianna loves her "Whaley"...

Summer is filled with all kinds of activities for the kids...swimming lessons for all three, playground camp and hockey camp for Nicholas, ballet for Julia, tumbling and dance camp for Julia and Gianna, and zoo camp for Gianna. I worked hard on their summer schedules to find that perfect balance...some activities but also time to just relax or play with friends.

Tonight was Julia and Gianna's second night of tumbling class.  I'm hoping by the end of the summer, Gianna will have her back handspring on her own and Julia will have a perfected round off, back handspring, back tuck.  They're on their way for sure.

Julia on the tumble track...

Gianna has this on her own for sure...he's barely spotting her!

Gianna tries again...
Julia working on her back tuck...
Julia with a spot...
and then on her own!
Gianna hopefully will have this on her own by the end of the summer...

Happy 4th of July

Dad ~ Nicholas and Julia made this for you today.  You "gave" me a cake the other day so I'm "giving" one back to you!!  xoxo

Here is our summer list....

I'm not sure how much we'll be able to do though after this "revolting development"...

Danny broke his ankle last week.  What a way to start our summer!!  As he put it, he "hydroplaned" in his work shoes!  : )  I told him he needs to make up a better story!
