Julia's 15 first days of school

Tomorrow will be Julia's very last day of grade school : (   But I know she is so ready to move on to the next chapter of her life!!!

Little Blessings preschool at 4 years old...OMG how adorable is she?!?!  One of my favorite pictures of Julia...

Little Blessings Kindergarten...

Public school Kindergarten (both Nicholas and Julia did two years of kindergarten because of their August birthdays and it was THE BEST decision we ever made)...

Off to 1st grade with her Hannah Montana bag...

2nd grade (fun fact...this was actually the second day of school because there was a horrible thunderstorm with torrential rain on the first day of school)...

3rd grade (Wearing her favorite headband. I still have it!)...

4th grade (She's still wearing the headband! Loved all her sparkly pink Justice clothes!)...

5th grade (Justice started to take a back seat to the more subdued Abercrombie outfits...but still a flower headband)...

6th grade and first day of Middle School (Still wearing the headband! She loved this first day of school outfit!)...

7th grade...

8th grade...

9th grade and first day of High School...

10th grade...

11th grade...

And lastly...Senior Year...at home...in her bedroom because of the virus...ugh...

Thankfully she'll have her last day of school tomorrow with all her friends at the high school!  She'll get to have a normal graduation with no masks and no social distancing!!!  And she'll get to go to the All Night Grad Party!!!  All things Nicholas missed out on last year : (

I've loved watching her prepare for the first day of school all these years by organizing all her binders and notebooks...using her creative artistic side to make the covers look so nice...and carefully choosing her special first day outfits.

There are a million things I'm going to miss from their childhood...and the first day of school is definitely one of them : (

Graduation Party

We had a graduation party yesterday for Julia, Justin and Tyler...

Julia is heading to Endicott College, Justin is headed to University of Michigan and Tyler is graduating from UMass Boston...

I took lots of pictures of my side of the family because so many are off to new places.

Tyler is headed back to Florida to help his Dad with the house for a bit and then he's off to Colorado for the summer and then back to the Tampa area to settle down. Rick is moving back to Florida to live and taking the boys with him for the summer.  Kerry and Dena will be moving to Saco, ME the end of this month to their new home they're building up there.  Then the end of the summer, Justin will head off to the University of Michigan and Julia will be off to Endicott.

I thought it would be funny to recreate this picture while we had all the kids together...

Big changes are coming for my family.  Change can be hard but it can also be a great thing.

And great things are coming...

Another message

Yesterday I was thinking about Sandy and her dogs because something reminded me of them...and literally the next minute I was looking at my phone and saw this...

Revolution Talent Competition

The girls had their first studio competition this past weekend!!! I was so happy for them and all the kids!!  It was the first studio competition in over a year because of Covid.  The competitions are running them with one whole studio as a block so it's basically like a recital.  That means super fast crazy costume changes and lots of running back and forth between the dressing room and the stage.  But it was so great to see all their hard work!  NEDA produces such talented dancers.  We are so fortunate to have such a fabulous dance studio in hometown!

Julia won Revolutionary medals for both of her solos which is the highest you can get!!  That meant her total score was at least a 295 out of 300 points!  That's amazing!  55 solos and she placed 9th overall.  Top ten is always a good thing!!

1st place Flora Dickins

2nd place Mya Xeller - Performing Art Studio BE

3rd place Alyssa - NEDA

4th place Arabella Buono - Performing Art Studio BE

5th place Liz Bazinet - The World of Dance

6th place Lili Cook - The World of Dance

7th place Kylie Bruno - The World of Dance

8th place Kylie Torello - Performing Art Studio BE

9th place - Julia - Find Me

10th place Mychela Jones - Performing Art Studio BE

---------------------------------

I was so happy to see Gianna up on the stage for the first time in two years!  She looked fantastic!!

All their group dances won Revolutionary medals and placed in the top!

12-14 Lines:

1st place Under the London Sky (Julia & Gianna)

12 & over Grand Lines:

1st place Salem Witch Trials (Julia)

15-19 Large Groups:

1st place Under Water (Julia)

2nd place Apocalypto (Julia)

3rd place This Woman's Work (Gianna)

5th place Carry Me Home (Gianna)

6th place Ready for a Miracle (Julia & Gianna)

15-19 Small Groups:

1st place The Girls of Cabaret (Julia & Gianna)

2nd place Memories (Julia)

Before production performs at competitions, the group gathers in a circle and the seniors stand in the middle to encourage the younger dancers before they go on stage...which meant this year it was Julia's turn...

Just look at those gorgeous eyes...

Memories

Our studio was only able to schedule two competitions this year due to Covid so...one down and only one more to go which is Hall of Fame Nationals in July.  They also have 3 recital shows to look forward to. Julia is doing one more solo competition on her own too just for fun.  I'm just so proud of my girls!!
