Homecoming

This weekend was Endicott's Homecoming weekend. Such a fun and busy day! First up was the Banner Ceremony. They got to pull their Regional Championship banner...

and then their National Championship Game Day banner...

Then it was on to the Ring Ceremony...

Then it was game time...

Halftime performance #1 was Tootsie Roll...

and performance #2 with the new mascot, Gully, and the Cheerleaders. It was so good!! Julia helped choreograph it too!

Visiting our Loved Ones

Kimmy and I went to the cemetery yesterday to clean up the graves and plant some mums for the fall. We always stop by our Nana and Grampy's graves first. They were the quintessential grandparents. Love them so so much!!! I know Mama and Nana are together again and that makes my heart so happy.

And we were also able to find our Nana's sister's grave with a little detective work!  Our Great Aunt Cassie (her given name was Madeline...I'm not sure why they called her Cassie?) who we were never able to meet as she passed away before we were all born. Mom and I found it years ago just one time and then forgot where it was again. Haha! I've always heard about how sweet and lovely Cassie was from my Mom. I'm sure she and our Nana were the best of friends. Cassie passed away at just 50 years old from cancer. I'm so glad we were able to find her! Kimmy and I will put some flowers on her grave in the spring...

First football game of '24

Yesterday was the first football game of the season. It was Julia's last first home game and Gianna's very first home game. The weather wasn't great but we all made the best of it. We did a breakfast tailgate in the pouring rain, but thankfully we had tents. The rain stopped just as the game began! Gianna fits in so perfectly with the team! It made my heart so happy seeing the girls dancing together again...

I'm really looking forward to next week's Homecoming game. First a breakfast tailgate and then the banner ceremony where they get to pull their National Championship Game Day and Regional Title Banners!! Whoo-hoo!! Then their National Championship ring ceremony!! Finally Julia gets a ring! The game should be fun and then more tailgating with the best people!
