Elite Performance Challenge

Julia competed her new solo "Cry Witch" for the first time last night and she did great for her first time out. There were 70 solos and she placed 5th overall! There were some beautiful dancers too so it was a very good competition. Julia won an Elite Platinum and the "Elite Concept Award". Yay for my sister who choreographed the routine! She sure does come up with incredible ideas.

Her solo is about the Salem Witch Trials thus the costume and "bible"...

Nicholas' Confirmation

The Confirmation was really nice. Just a beautiful Mass and the Bishop was wonderful.

We are very proud of our boy. Time is passing so quickly and yet another new milestone has been achieved.

And just like that...

Freshman year of hockey is over.

I don't care if he has a good game or a bad game. I just love watching my boy in net.

Winter Weekend in Ogunquit

The weather was gorgeous this weekend. You never would have guessed it was February...

We had a beautiful "beach" day...

My boy is such a love. I honestly don't know that many 15-year-old boys who show affection like my boy...

We ended that day with playing a bunch of fun games and dinner at the Maine Diner. Then today we went over to a family friend's house to visit their Alpacas...

and play in the snow...

Nicholas has been talking about driving a snowmobile for years now...and he got his wish...

And we ended our winter afternoon with clam chowder and hot dogs...yum!!

Gianna going for a ride with her Dad...

My girls being super silly...

Gianna's poetry

I think Gianna has a real talent for writing. She had to make a book of original poetry for her English class. Her teacher gave her a 100 and she also wrote this note to her:  "Gianna, I absolutely LOVE all of these poems! I hope you have changed your mind towards poetry because you definitely have a talent for it. Fabulous job!"

So adorable...

This one is my favorite...

Snow days

We're in a snowy pattern right now...at least that's what the meteorologists are saying. We had a big snow storm on Thursday which meant no school that day and no school the following day....

which meant a four day weekend...and now we are expecting another snow storm tonight into tomorrow...

which most likely means no school again...which means a 5 day weekend for the kiddies...

which means Julia will have gone to school a total of 1 day out of 6 due to the fact that she was sick the beginning of last week...and of course this is the last week of school before February vacation. Yikes!

But I sure do enjoy the snow days...no where to go and not much to do except bake my Great Aunt Cassie's oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, have a yummy crock pot dinner...

and be cozy by the fire...
