Babysitting

I've been babysitting this little cutie on Tuesdays for the month of September. Her Mom posted in a FB neighborhood group that she was looking for a sitter for her almost 2-year-old just one day a week. I truly felt like it was posted just for me. I was thinking about doing exactly this to help keep me busy after our three left for college. It's been so awesome being with a little one again. I'm loving it! Very typical that her favorite word is "no". Haha! She is a very strong willed little girl who knows exactly what she wants : )

Cuddling at nap time...oh how I miss this so much...

It's doing my heart good!!

Weekending

For starters...Nicholas won Player of the Game at their first game of the season!  How awesome is that!!

Team press release:

Louisville Hockey Sweeps Milwaukee to Open 2023-24 Season BROOKFIELD, Wisconsin - The University of Louisville hockey team kicked off its 2023-24 campaign with a strong performance and road sweep of non-conference opponent, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers this past weekend. Louisville (2-0-0) defeated Milwaukee (0-2-0) by a final score of 10-1 on Friday night, and followed with a 6-4 victory on Saturday afternoon. With the Panthers hosting the weekend series, both games took place on the road, at the Ponds of Brookfield. Louisville sophomore goaltenders Nick Digiacomo (North Attleboro, MA) and Colin Larson (Roswell, GA) split the crease versus Milwaukee over the weekend, with Digiacomo starting Friday’s contest and Larson getting the nod on Saturday. Digiacomo turned away 34 of 35 total shots, earning his first win of the campaign. Digiacomo was able to stave off a couple net front opportunities for the Panthers to keep the momentum in Louisville’s favor heading to the intermission. Despite giving up the first goal of the third period, Digiacomo continued to play stellar for Louisville, who had returned from the second intermission with a convincing 7-0 lead.

Then yesterday we went to Endicott for the second home game of the season. It was Dance with EC day where grade school kids spend the day with the dance team learning routines and performing a dance at half time.

Part one...Julia is in the first and third dances...

Part two...all three grade levels dancing...so cute!!

It was Emma's 21st birthday so the kids all celebrated at the tailgate after the game...

Then we took the girls out to dinner. Both got an official birthday alcoholic drink...rite of passage...

It was an exceptionally hot and oppressively humid day (not my kind of weather at all) but such a fun day watching our girl do what she loves!!

Then today was sisters day at Kimmy's house to celebrate my August birthday. Paula made a delicious lunch and Kimmy made homemade cupcakes with my favorite chocolate frosting...

They both gave me such thoughtful gifts. Kimmy gave me a pretty yellow Ogunquit t-shirt and a candle that smells like Mama.  And Kerry outdid herself by making these homemade gifts for me and Julia.

This one is Julia's for her 21st birthday. She made it with flower petals in dance positions...some were like that naturally...and a butterfly happened to appear after she made it!

And this is the back...

I FaceTimed Julia so she could see it and it made her cry!! She loves it so much!!

Kerry made this one for me! She's going to make other ones with me and Nicholas and me and Gianna. I love it!!

This picture made me laugh...

I'm so grateful to have my sisters...
