We are so proud of Breanna for finally living her dream after years of hard work in school learning these skills...
Wow...
All the chefs were super nice and took him under their wings...
Just look at Breanna & Nicholas' creations!!!! Everything is homemade right down to that cinnamon ice cream ...amazingly good!!
And Danny, Nicholas and I got to do all the tasting!!
He is such a confident boy. I would never have done this when I was his age. I wouldn't have had the confidence to even step foot in that kitchen. By the time Danny and I arrived at the restaurant for dinner, it was as if Nicholas had been working there for months! It was a fabulous experience for him. Thank you Breanna!!!
Now moving on to Nicholas the hockey pro...
The past few days, Nicholas' PeeWee team was in a tournament. They finished in 2nd place! The championship game was fantastic! What great hockey! They really held their own against a very good team.
Nicholas scored a goal!! Check it out (he's #10...and please pardon my jumping up and down and screaming with excitement)...
It was a very rough game. The other team was checking and they weren't supposed to. I love how the ref is just watching and not calling anything. Just look at how #13 on the black team nailed Nicholas behind the net and then watch one of Nicholas' teammates (#43) go after the kid for Nicholas...awesome!!!
This was the first year in many, many years that Danny and I spent NYE apart. He stayed at the hotel with Nicholas and I brought the girls back home to sleep comfortably and soundly in our own beds. (I really, really don't like hotels.)
Happy New Year!!! Hoping the new year brings us health, happiness, a few vacations and a new kitchen! : )
