Julia's 5th grade social

Today was Julia's 5th grade social at our local YMCA. It was a lot of fun for the kids! They played all kinds of field games, had kayak races in the pool (which I was in charge of), played trivia, and of course tug of war!  I have great memories of my field day way back when I was in 6th grade.

One of the mom's made these cupcakes...very clever...

She has a few more fun 5th grade activities planned at school and then she'll be done with elementary school.  : (
