Well...I was the one who had to pack and repack and repack and repack their huge dream duffles with all the costumes, accessories and make up. I'm the one who had to stress about getting them to where they had to be on time...in costume with hair and make up done. I'm the one that had to be sure we had the right food, snacks and drinks and was the one who had to figure out the timing of when and where to eat to be sure we didn't miss our stage times. I'm the one who had to drive back and forth to and from Mohegan Sun, the hotel and home endless times. And I'm the one who had to carry most of the heavy stuff back and forth from the ballroom, hotel, car and home. See? Coming off two long shows at the recital and then five days of Nationals almost killed me.
But I digress...oh yes...4th of July weekend.
It was a very nice, fun and relaxing weekend for us. Danny scored Red Sox tickets for Saturday nights game! Two front row seats behind home plate! It was an absolutely gorgeous day. We ate at a restaurant right across the street from Fenway. It was in this huge warehouse and they had all the windows and doors open so it was as if you were sitting right outside...
Before the game there was lots happening on the field. I got this picture of the owner of the Red Sox, John Henry. All I could think about was how much money this guy must have and how I'd like to be out on his yacht.

Kerry and the kids kept sending us pictures so we could see ourselves on TV. All I can say is...I felt so self conscious!! Only a few people knew we were at the game but still...it was so weird!!

Sunday was another gorgeous day. Danny and I hung out by the pool all day and then took the kids to the drive in later that night to see Finding Dory. There is nothing better than watching a movie outside on a gorgeous summer night with loads of home made popcorn and boxes of candy...
Then yesterday, the 4th, was another gorgeous day so we spent the day at the ocean at Horseneck Beach. I loved every second of it. It was the perfect temperature near the water with a beautiful breeze. Can you tell how much the kids loved it? They don't like the beach.
