He's made his dream come true!!
When I found out I literally burst into tears...first because I was so incredibly proud of him...but also because that meant he would officially be leaving home...and me. But that is something we've been preparing him for his whole life...and it's time. He will be doing what he LOVES and what MOTIVATES him! While he's playing hockey, he will also take some college courses so he can move on to a four-year college to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and hopefully play college hockey! That's the plan!! And it was HIS PLAN!! Not ours...and that's the way it should be. Pursue what you love and live your dreams. Something I learned from my Mom. She always encouraged us to chase our dreams and to be courageous in pursuing the lives WE wanted...not the "traditional" life that others thought we should be living.
And that is what life is all about. Go Nicholas!!!
